What does your warm-up look like pre-session? For example do you perform any stretching or foam rolling?
The common thing people wonder about is if they are approaching warm ups properly, if they might be tiring themselves out, if they're doing too much or not enough, and then they risk hurting themselves, so that's actually not a bad question.
Ten years ago everybody was foam rolling and doing all this warming up for an hour straight, I'm thinking “man your guys' warmups are longer than the workouts themselves” I would literally go to our 3DMJ mashups and I would be finished with my entire workout and some people would still be warming up, it's crazy. I was the weird guy at the time. People would wonder how I would be done already when they aren’t even warmed up. That's a trend though. I think that's shifted now into maybe even the opposite direction, because of HIT (High Intensity Training) has resurfacing on YouTube. Personally I'm not an “athlete” and I don't go play basketball, I don't go play tennis, so I only warm up for what the endeavor calls for. If it's an upper body session I just need to warm up to get through my upper body session, same thing with lower body. I don't need to do any more than what I need to do to accomplish that goal.
