KR: You were doing two times per week full body and then you had the two GPP days right?
General Physical Preparation, also known as GPP, lays the groundwork for Specific Physical Preparation, or SPP. In the GPP phase, athletes aim to work on general conditioning, stability, speed, endurance, flexibility, and skill.
AL: That's right, I built most of my physique with two times per week full body, I ran it until the end of 2019. I started training with an upper lower split in 2020, and I rolled with that up until the last 10 months or so. I’m currently doing a hybrid. The split itself is all over the place though because I'm still trying to perfect it.
